Oleksandr Usyk has underlined the importance of his upcoming undisputed heavyweight title fight in an exclusive interview with TNT Sport.

With all of the heavyweight division's belts on the line, Saturday night's world title fight against Tyson Fury will mean there will be an undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, for the first time in 24 years.

Speaking ahead of the fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Usyk told TNT Sports, “For me it’s not business, it’s sport. After it’s a win, there’s a cheque, a belt, but first it’s the boxing for me.”

Having won an Olympic title as an amateur before unifying the cruiserweight division as a pound-for-pound great, Usyk is primed to further his legacy in claiming the WBC Heavyweight Belt on Saturday.

“It’s important for me, for my family, for my country. It’s a big event for Ukraine." Usyk continued. “It’s a special fight. Four belts, two guys who don’t have a loss. It’s special. I can’t wait."

Despite a disadvantage in size and reach, being two years Fury's senior and competing at heavyweight for just the sixth time in his career, Usyk is currently the bookmakers' favourite to make history on Saturday.

“This is my life, I am not playing.” stated Usyk, who teamed up with Blockasset to release a limited edition run of digital collectibles in 2022 in support of the Usyk Foundation.
