UFC 306 has undergone a rebranding ahead of its highly anticipated debut at Sphere in Las Vegas.

In a recent announcement, the promotion disclosed that their upcoming pay-per-view event, scheduled for September 14th, will now be named Riyadh Season Noche UFC, coinciding with Mexican Independence Day at the new venue in the major city.

This event marks a historic first for the UFC, as it will feature a title sponsor for the first time in its history.

“This event promises to be monumental,” stated UFC CEO Dana White in a press release. “What we are preparing for at Sphere is unprecedented and will create an unforgettable experience for sports enthusiasts. It's also a significant tribute to the Mexican people, who have made remarkable contributions to combat sports."

“We are delighted to partner with Turki Alalshikh and the Saudi General Entertainment Authority to ensure this becomes the greatest combat sports event in history. Their involvement underscores the global excitement surrounding Riyadh Season Noche UFC, which is sure to leave an indelible mark.”

Earlier this month, the UFC made its debut in Saudi Arabia with a successful Fight Night event, headlined by Robert Whittaker's first-round knockout of Ikram Aliskerov. The partnership between UFC and Saudi Arabia, which began earlier this year, has already been extended to include another UFC event in 2025.

Last September, the promotion delivered a memorable Noche UFC event at T-Mobile Arena, featuring a draw between UFC flyweight champion Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko in the main event. While speculation suggests a trilogy fight may headline the upcoming September 14th card, Grasso indicated in discussions with reporters that Shevchenko might not be her opponent for the event.
